Hello! We’re happy that you’ve found us. rockiowa.tv is the online video portal of Rock Iowa, a media network covering authentic, independent culture and community. In an effort to encourage the “rabbit hole” effect of finding one video, and then another video, and then 45 minutes later your boss is wondering where that TPS report is, we’ve decided to collect all of Rock Iowa’s video content into one streamlined network.

This portal allows us to share videos from Blip, YouTube, Vimeo and even “big media” sites like the Des Moines Register in one familiar format. We hope that you’ll take advantage of the new Ratings feature that allows Rock Iowa’s audience to rate videos independently of the network it’s hosted on. Also, the new and uniform Embed button should help make it easy to spread Rock Iowa content far and wide. 

Another feature new to Rock Iowa thanks to this website is third-party video content. You may have noticed that we’ve already added music videos from The Envy Corps, Radio Moscow, and The Horseshoe Spatulas. The new rockiowa.tv will help us build one home for all the creative, cultural and community videos that we find relevant.
